Connections The Recruitment Specialists are delighted to collaborate with a thriving travel company in the search for an Accounts Assistant.

This opportunity offers an initial 6-month term, with the potential for an extension to undertake another significant project within the organization.

The successful candidate will join a small team of two based in their Altrincham office. We are seeking an individual with robust organizational skills, the capability to prioritize workload autonomously, and the proficiency to work with minimal supervision.
A good working knowledge of Excel, encompassing V-lookups, Pivot Tables, and Formulas, is crucial. While experience dealing with client funds in a regulated sector would be advantageous, it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely tracking and payment of weekly supplier payment requests.
  • Apply for and monitor reimbursements of client funds, actively pursuing supplier refunds for cancellations.
  • Monitor accounts for incoming payments and accurately record them on the booking system.
  • Effectively manage cancelled bookings, calculating and issuing required refunds.
  • Reconcile credit card statements.
  • Handle finance mailbox management and issue sales invoices.

Employment Package:

  • Base Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 per annum
  • Contract: Full-time, 6 month contract
